This post is...well, very hard to write. I...can't believe that I am writing this... Dumbledore is...dead. I...wow. I just can't believe that it hit me this hard. I wasn't really that close to him, and yet it is really horrifying and shocking. And he was killed by Snape no less. Harry insisted that he was a bad person, and yet Dumbledore insisted on trusting him. And that is what killed him, in the end...I just can't believe it.
Dumbledore was always this grandfatherly, knowledgeable elder, that anyone could present a problem to, and Dumbledore always had an answer. He has left a gaping hole in the school, and I don't know if I will ever be able to go to school and experience it in the same way again.
Backing up a bit, let's start off with Harry's journey with Dumbledore. He never really told Ron and me much about it, meaning that it must have been extremely horrible. He was alright with talking about his experiences with Voldemort, but he won't discuss this trip.
The night he got back was also the night Dumbledore was killed so I can see how the whole mix of horrific events isn't something that Harry would want to talk about.
I don't know who is going to be the new Headmaster of Hogwarts, or how that is going to change my year next year. I am nervous that someone who is so unlike Dumbledore will end up becoming the new Headmaster. Someone like Snape, or Slughorn. They would be awful. I think that Professor McGonagall would be the best Headmaster, but one of the other professors, other than Snape of Slughorn, would be alright choices I suppose.
I...just...I am speechless... I cannot believe this has happened...I don't know what the future will hold. I have never been so unsure in my life before.

Death Eaters and Dumbledore
I actually want to start off by saying something that I am quite sure I have forgotten o mention... (but perhaps I have mentioned it before). Ron and I were made prefects last year! It was an amazing experience, and I'm really hoping that it sets me up to be Head Girl. I would absolutely LOVE that! Anyways, I wasn't sure whether I had mentioned it as last year turned out to be kind of crazy!!
Alright. Harry is convinced that Malfoy is a Death Eater. I mean we know his father and mother obviously are, so I suppose it would make sense that Draco would eventually become one as well, but I'm just not sure. I don't quite buy that Voldemort would let such a youngster such as Draco join his ranks. It just doesn't seem to fit. But Harry is OBSESSED now, after Malfoy found him spying on the train, and hexed him, and Harry nearly went..wherever the Hogwarts Express goes when not transporting students. Ron and I tagged along, went along with Harry's ideas, but tried to dissuade him whenever we could. He was obsessed and there was nothing we could do...It was a little alarming to say the least
Also! Dumbledore has been giving Harry private lessons, which have unearthed some alarming information. He is showing Harry different memories of Voldemort, when he was young and such. Some of them involve killing people, Voldemort's family and whatnot, but I think the most alarming one is when Harry learnt about Horcruxes. Apparently they are when you fragment your soul and insert it in various objects. And from what Harry and Dumbledore can glean, it looks like Voldemort split his soul into 7 pieces!! This is what he did to see if he could become immortal. You see, each segment of his soul must be destroyed before he can be killed, and this is the reason he created all of these Horcruxes. I tried to read up on them, but ALL the books have been removed from the Hogwarts library. There aren't even any in the redistricted section! Someone certainly did a good job of hiding all the information about them! Anyway, it looks like Harry and Dumbledore are going to go on a quest to see if they can destroy one of these things...It seems extremely dangerous, and I don't know why Harry has to go along as well, but I suppose he is allowed to make these decisions by himself.
Overall it has been a fairly eventful year so far and it isn't even half over yet!

Harry's Stupid Book and Ron's Stupid Girlfriend
I am just furious at those two boys! Harry, not expecting to take Potions this year didn't buy any of his supplies (neither did Ron, but that is irrelevant right now), and so he had to borrow some from the school. Fine and dandy, nothing exciting there. But he ended up getting a book that was written in. And instead of ignoring the writing like any normal human being, he decided to test out these new twists on Potions. Lucky for him they work quite well, and have earned him the top spot in the class, and is now Professor Slughorn's little pet. Ugh; he infuriates me! How he can carry on in such a dishonest way, I will never know! I mean, I am a little upset that he is now the brilliant one, not me, but mostly it is that he is cheating himself, as he s learning nothing, as well as taking dangerous risks!
Now that is one boy down, onto the next one. Ron. I have no words for his recent behaviour. He is being the biggest prat ever. Some comment was made about him never knowing what it was like to be with a girl, so he went and found himself, Lavender Brown! As if! He must know that I really like him, I haven't exactly been subtle about my annoyances about him dating her! I can't believe him honestly. He acts like he has no clue why I am upset with him either!
BOYS! Honestly!!
